Essentials for the Autumn Season

“Life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the fall.”

F. Scott Fitzgerald

Autumn has finally arrived! If you’re like me and you enjoy the cooler weather, the orange and fallen leaves, and the scent of pumpkin in the air, you’ve come to the right place.

Here, you will find a thoughtful guide with all the Autumn necessities required to survive and enjoy the next few months.

Essentials for the Autumn Season

Jumpers/Sweaters

Frankly, I love wearing a chic jumper. They are my most favourite items of clothing as I love the cosiness and styles of them! As it is starting to get a little chiller, now’s the time to start digging out your sweaters and strut down the streets. Another reason to like wearing jumpers is that they are easy to accessorise and never go out of fashion 🀩

Hot Drink

It’s such a clichΓ©, but one thing that I enjoy all year round but crave more in autumn is a hot drink β˜• It is the season of pumpkin spice lattes, mulled wine, maple bourbon hot toddy, and more. It is great to have all these delicious spices and scents in the air to really set the atmosphere.

I look forward to my go-to autumn order which is a hazelnut hot chocolate with oat or coconut-rice milk and chocolate sprinkles on top.

Blanket

Add a little pop of colour to your favourite lounge seat and keep your body warm during the colder evenings with a stylish blanket. According to Sleep Consultant Alanna McGinn on her appearance at CTV’s Your Morning (2019), blankets help balance our nightly core body temperatures. It also increases serotonin and melatonin levels in our brains which enables us to relax and drift off to sleep.

There are many different blankets to choose from such as weighted, quilts, sherpa (LOVE! πŸ’—), bamboo, and more.

It offers health benefits like reducing fear and anxiety and heightens your mood, which could be useful during meditation or prayer.

Baking Cookbook

Indulge in some warm treats in your free time this fall season. Find a cookbook with some easy-to-follow recipes and share your delicious creations with the beloved people in your life. Baking is an activity that you can do solo or as a group. Some dessert recommendations to make include Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies, Apple Pie, Pecan Pie Cheesecake, and Maple CrΓ¨me BrΓ»lΓ©e. Doesn’t just the sound of these goodies make your mouth water? πŸ˜‹

  3. Oooo a maple bourbon hot toddy sounds lovely! I definitely gravitate towards warm drinks, especially hot chocolate, in the colder months. Plus continual use of jumpers and blankets. Love the post as I’m so reluctant to leave behind summer (can’t say that we really had much of one in the UK, have we??) but this has made dread it a little less!

I gravitate more towards warm drinks in the colder months too, it is hard to decline a steaming mug of tea or hot chocolate πŸ˜„ Thank you for reading this post and for your comment πŸ’— We didn’t really have that much of a summer in the UK (some hot days, yes β˜€οΈ…but rarely consistent) and it is definitely getting a chillier now, but all the more reason to layer up with warm and cute jumpers and blankets ✨

Thank you again and hope you have a great day! πŸ€—

  4. A really enjoyable and satisfying blog post to read. A well written and captivating piece relatable to readers in terms of subject matter! Thanks for sharing. As for me, I love a hot chocolate or a herbal tea such as Lemon and Ginger or Camomile in bed with a good movie or book to read during the autumn/winter season. πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ™πŸ™πŸ’›πŸ’›πŸ‘ŠπŸ‘ŠπŸ’―πŸ’―

  8. Dear friend,
I like to make trekking tours through the nature with a tent and backpack. It feels so good to get close to the nature, even in autumn time, to pick mushrooms or at the evening time sit at a fireplace, play music, watch the stars – it gives so much inner peace πŸ™‚
A big hug to you πŸ™‚
