Daily Prompt #4

List 30 things that make you happy.

Here is a list of 30 amazing things in my life that bring me unadulterated joy.

  1. My Family – I love spending time with my parents and extended family. I’m blessed to have a special and different relationship with each person.
  2. My Friends – Despite being miles apart across the country and not seeing each other as often as we would like (such is life!), we’re always there rooting and supporting one another through good and bad times.
  3. Laughter – Hearing my family and friends laugh is music to my ears.
  4. London – It’s a melting pot with new restaurants and experiences being introduced.
  5. Hearing and Saying the Words: “I Love You” – This small phrase carries so much emotional depth.
  6. Finishing a Captivating TV series – I’m currently up-to-date with The Lincoln Lawyer and The Mandalorian, and I can’t wait to see what happens next!
  7. My Lola’s Food – Her cooking always sends me back to childhood memories.
  8. Good News and Accomplishments – Moments for celebration and appreciation.
  9. Writing – It is my deepest passion and how I best express myself.
  10. Hot Chocolate – Admittedly, I am spoiled (and extremely lucky) that I don’t make hot chocolate myself, but my loved ones are gifted with the skills of operating a Velvetiser, so I politely ask them.
  11. My Blog – I find solace in my blog, where I can be creative. Not to mention, I love the positive interactions within this community.
  12. Finding New Opportunities – For example, expanding my skill set (job), writing (blog), and trying to make a little extra cash (selling items on Depop).
  13. Bags – It is my favourite accessory, and I never leave the house without one in my hand.
  14. Exploring New Cities and Countries – Never take for granted the means to be adventurous and bask in different cultures.
  15. A Clean House – The results are worth it and make the home more appealing.
  16. Walks – This low-impact activity enables me to clear my head and get some fresh air after a long day of working from home.
  17. Singing – While I am not Mariah Carey by any standards, that doesn’t stop me from belting out my favourite tunes.
  18. Cashback and Discounts – Why pay full price if there’s an offer available?
  19. Wearing New Pajamas – Nothing is better than buying and putting on new loungewear and pyjamas. It never fails to make me feel comfortable and fresh.
  20. Cooking – I’ve gotten into cooking in the last year and making my favourite Filipino dishes, and I find the process quite therapeutic.
  21. Being Shown Appreciation – Through words of affirmation, acts of service, and gift giving.
  22. Forehead Kisses – A small gesture which makes me blush and fills my stomach with butterflies.
  23. Looking through Family Pictures and Videos – Such as reminiscing from my childhood or new ones with my godson.
  24. Podcasts – Mainly regarding finance and personal well-being. Feel free to share your favourite podcasts, episodes or recommendations in the comments below.
  25. Text Messages – Unprompted messages and little catch-ups from my friends and family.
  26. Gift Giving – It brings me so much joy to have the means of treating my loved ones with presents and experiences.
  27. Busy Calendar – Such as appointments, social meet-ups, and events, as it reassures me that I am productive and gives me something to look forward to when leaving the house.
  28. A Smart Coat – Makes an outfit appear polished and put together.
  29. Charity Shops – It is always heartwarming to give back and beneficial to support your local charities.
  30. Dog Cuddles – Great for releasing anxiety and strengthening the bond with your pet.

This was a reflective daily prompt to participate in, as it encourages gratitude and appreciation 💕 I would recommend doing it if you haven’t yet, and if you have, please feel free to share the post here 😊
