What’s On My Bookshelf Tag

I have accumulated lots of books (amongst other things) over the past 8 years, leaving my room and closet to be slightly untidy (maybe a little more than ‘slightly’….)

Today, I have decided to share the stuff which can be found on my bookshelf (the interesting and the embarrassing).

  1. Dust (it needs to be wiped down)
  2. The Fault in Our Stars by John Green (tearjerker!)
  3. Creative Writing for Dummies by Maggie Hamand (my bible)
  4. Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer (Twilight to Breaking Dawn…teenage years…)
  5. Variety of pens
  6. Harry Potter Series by J. K. Rowling (all SEVEN novels will stay within reach…always)
  7. Elizabeth is Missing by Emma Healey
  8. Vampire Academy Series by Richelle Mead (still dreaming about being Rose Hathaway)
  9. Course Reader (Short Story & Prose) from 1st year of Uni (includes a variety of short stories that can be found online. Strongly recommend ‘Love Silk Food’ by Leone Ross, ‘Cathedral’ by Raymond Carver, ‘Beginning, End’ by Jessica Soffer, ‘The Man on the Stairs’ by Miranda July, ‘The Prussian Officer’ by D H Lawrence and ‘The Long Wet Grass’ by Seamus Scanlon)
  10. Perfect Chemistry Series by Simone Elkeles (who doesn’t love those bad boys?)
  11. Sunglasses
  12. Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte (timeless classic!)
  13. Bread Givers by Anzia Yezierska (one of the most emotional, heart-wrenching novels I’ve ever read. It will leave you captivated, frustrated and unable to stop turning the page)
  14. Deck of playing cards
  15. Jude the Obscure by Thomas Hardy
  16. In Cold Blood by Truman Capote
  17. Lying in Wait by Liz Nugent (which I’m currently reading)
  18. Wads of scrunched up and loose paper with random sentences and story ideas/excerpts
  19. Multi-coloured and lined revision cards (both used and unused)
  20. A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness
  21. A Moveable Feast by Ernest Hemingway
  22. Filofax
  23. 642 Tiny Things to Write About by Po Bronson (perfect for Writer’s Block)
  24. A Purple Bookmark
  25. To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee (LOVE Jem Finch!)

What do you have on your bookshelf? 🙂
