Sensitive soul. Artistic. Wild. Soft blonde hair. Independent. Sparkling green eyes. Adventurous.
I purse my lips and nod half-heartedly as he continues to gush about his new-found love.
The gleam of pure adoration in his eyes as he talks about her makes me look away now and then. I blink back the warm tears threatening to fall. With every compliment he gives her, my heart crumbles and drops an inch closer towards my stomach. He proudly shows me a picture of his perfect woman.
My breath hitches in my throat.
She’s better than I imagined.
She grins stunningly back at me, oozing confidence and grace.
My brain goes blank and I am unable to string together a single sentence. So instead, I compel the reluctant muscles in my face to form a convincing smile.
I feel a pang of betrayal in my chest as he’s none the wiser and carries on talking.
Despite the heartbreak he makes me feel, he remains to be my definition of perfect.

I was addicted to TV since childhood. I stopped watching TV when the doctor checked my eyes and advised me to wear spectacles.
