A leap year comes around once every four years and we get an extra day at the end of February. If you’ve never done anything to celebrate this “bonus” holiday, now is the perfect time to start. Leap Day is a great excuse to do extra fun activities with your loved ones or enjoy some quality me-time.
Are you stuck on ideas for how to celebrate leap day? I’ve created an epic list of activities which will make the time more memorable.
Leap Year Traditions
There are a number of customs and superstitions worldwide. Some popular ones being women proposing to their partner and publication of the La Bougie du Sapeur newspaper.
But the most important and exciting tradition is this…People born on Feb. 29 are often referred to as “Leap Year Babies” or “Leapings”. The chances of being born on this day is just one in 1,461, and every four years, they can celebrate their true date of birth. So, if you are a ‘leaping’, I wish you the happiest of birthdays! ❤
