Questions Asked of Me

Here are (Kitty) Cat’s set questions for me to answer:

1. Do you have any hobbies your blog followers don’t know about?

Oooh, not going to lie, this required a bit of hard thinking 😂…I would have to say playing card games and quizzes, it is so much fun and thankfully, I got to do a lot more of it during the holiday season. In addition, doing online courses has been a bit of a recent hobby, it keeps me motivated and I love that it can be done at your own pace. I purchased a few courses last year and have slowly been going through them. Mainly they are related to work and writing, however, I would like to do a completely random course in the future that no-one would expect of me 😛

2. What’s your favourite animal?

🐶🐶🐶! It may not be the most exotic or exciting answer 😅 but I love how dogs are loving, joyful, and playful. It’s like having a little kid in the house – they have such a presence which immediately brightens up a room.

3. What is/are your favourite movies?

Hmm…because I watched this recently during the Christmas period and it is still on my mind…has to be The Santa Clause! 😀 It is a classic to watch during the holidays offering magical and feel-good family vibes. My boyfriend and I did a drinking game of the movie on Christmas Eve. Fun and dangerous evening 🥴 and highly recommended!

4. What’s your creative outlet?

My most effective creative outlet is writing ✍️ It works when I am feeling stressed or overwhelmed, and it’s fun and easy to jump into at any time of the day. I love creating new worlds and experimenting with different scenarios and twists, and lately, I’ve enjoyed writing lifestyle/shopping articles.

5. Do you enjoy any sports (watching or playing – assuming no pandemic/lockdowns exist)?

I am not a sporty person unless the occasion calls for it…You have a much greater chance of finding me indoors under a warm blanket with Selling Sunset playing on the TV. However, for watching sports, my preference is tennis 🎾 because I love the tension and its fast pace. And my favourite sport to play is badminton 🏸 it is always a must-do whenever I book a holiday at Centre Parcs.

6. What would your dream job be?

My dream job would be to make this blog into a full-time and sustainable profession. But to be honest, anything and everything to do with content management and writing is what I consider a dream and blessing 💖 🌟 such as Content Editor, Columnist, Screenwriter, Video Game Writer, etc.

7. If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?

I cannot choose just one place…it’s too hard 🙈 there are so many beautiful locations in the world 🌍 I do like living in the UK (pre-COVID) but also the Philippines would be great, so would Italy, and Singapore, and Spain. I would need to toss all the countries’ names in a hat and pick one to decide!

8. What type of music do you like to listen to?

I listen to a variation of music from country to pop to rock to theatre productions 🎶 I am willing and happy to listen to all kinds of music except those that use derogatory lyrics towards men and women.

If you got any songs or artists that you are a fan of and would like to recommend, feel free to leave a comment below 🙂

9. If your life was made into a book, what would be the title?

Underestimated but never defeated.

10. What food do you never get sick of eating?

This may be the most boring answer to this question, but if I don’t have it for a few days, I start hyperventilating…it’s rice 🤣

I went on a holiday for five days and didn’t have a single grain for the entire duration. I swear it to you…I dribbled a little bit when I arrived back home and saw a steaming bowl of hot white rice waiting for me.

11. If you could bring back something/someone that has gone (disappeared/lost/died) what would it be?

This is a really great question! I love it, thank you (Kitty) Cat for this 💕

Someone – My paternal grandmother. I regret that I didn’t get to spend as much time with her as a teenager/adult, but she was always kind and happy whenever she got to see me. My parents have never failed to speak highly of her. I really wish that I got to talk to her more.

Something – A pair of earrings that my Mum lost when I was younger. She has mentioned it a few times and was heartbroken when they went missing. They were from her Dad from when he worked in Saudi Arabia. I really wish that I could conjure up those earrings and give them back to her.

  1. Congratulations on your nomination!!

Writing is one of the best creative outlets there is! It’s also amazing how well-traveled you are.

One of my favorite bands in the world, and one I recommend to everyone, is Tedeschi Trucks Band. They play a variety from country-ish to blues to jazz to classic rock. They’re so varied in their musical approach, and absolutely amazing to see live!!

Thank you so much for the nomination, as well!!!

I truly love travelling, it is a huge blessing. Can’t wait to go away again when it is all safe 🙂

Oh, I have not heard of that band before (shamefully)! It sounds amazing and my kind of preference. I’m excited to check them out, thank you for the recommendation! 😊 Live bands are the best to watch, the atmosphere is unmatchable.

My pleasure – congratulations on your nomination 🙂 Can’t wait to read your answers!!!

  2. Congrats on your nomination and thanks for nominating me! Much excited and honoured! Just loved your candid responses there 😍 Isn’t writing so therapeutic and a great way to reflect of the past and imagine the future? p.s. I have strangely been hooked to classical music recently which seems to trigger the mood for some quiet late-night writing!

  3. Congratulations on your nomination, and thank you so much for the nomination. I love activities like this as you get to know the blogger behind the blog. I’m with you on the online courses, I’ve lost track of how many I’ve started during Lockdown. Dogs have to be my favourite animal too, especially now that I can’t see the family dog. The title for the book of your life is excellent! I love how honest and creative your responses are, thank you for sharing. 😊

I agree, these tags are always so fun to do and I cannot wait for your response 🙂 I had no problem starting the courses, but finishing them is a whole other story lol 🙈 I hope you can see your family dog soon and that all your loved ones are safe and healthy 💗

  4. Such great answers and I’m glad you enjoyed the questions! 🙂 I love The Santa Clause and always try to watch it at Christmas although I’ve never played a drinking game of it, lol. I also just love watching tennis, in fact I used to wish I was a tennis player when I was a kid, but never actually played it although I did play badminton at school (wasn’t very good though). Oh and there’s nothing wrong with rice, my go to food is probably more pasta or bread rather than rice but I definitely understand that craving for something that seems so plain. 🙂

    • Thank you for the nomination and reading this post 😊 it is an honour! Would recommend the drinking game if you wanna get a bit boozy haha one of the rules is to drink any time “Santa” or any word for Santa is said…and you can only imagine how many times it is said in a Christmas film 😅 I understand what you mean, tennis is such a cool sport and wish I could play it too! Ahhh fair enough, and thank you for the reassurance 💕 bread and pasta is delicious so gotta have it as go-to food 😋 just had some now for dinner actually lol! But yes, after a while of not having something you’re so used to, you will crave it more than could imagine 😂

      • Aw, you so deserve it and I really love your answers ❤ 🙂 Lol, I think everyone'd get drunk really fast with that rule about 'santa' or another word being a call for a drink. wow, I think that film has like several mentions of the word in one minute at some point, lol.

  5. I like and appreciate your responses. I think dogs is a great answer to the question about animals. And I like rice a great deal, too, and wish that I would lean to cook it, myself. As for whom and what should come back, your choices are admirable, wanting your grandmother to return and for the lost pair of earrings to be found. Congratulations on your nomination. And thank you for mine.

  6. Congratulations on the award! Rice would be one thing I would never get sick of eating either. It’s just so delicious and you can make so many dishes out of rice you would never get sick of it. I eat rice for almost every meal anyway so it wouldn’t even make that much of a difference for me lol 😂

    • Thank you Pooja! 😊💗 Ahhh…I’m so happy that you can never get sick of rice too 😂 I agree, there’s so many great dishes you can make with it that it can never get boring haha. Thank you for comment 💕 I hope 2021 brings you lots of happiness and success x
