Etsy Father’s Day Gifts

While you can find hundreds of amazing homemade products on the Etsy Father’s Day page, it can be a bit of a chore to scroll through them all. To save you time, I’ve compiled a gift idea list suited for all kinds of dads.

1. Personalised Portable Camping Fire Pit

Is your Dad a fan of camping and the outdoors? Then look no further than this portable camping fire pit. You can make it extra special by customising two sides of the fire pit with any text up to 12 characters.

Made from solid steel, this compact fire pit can be assembled in seconds and features a convenient bamboo carry handle. The design offers the perfect balance of ventilation for the fire, whilst shielding it from the wind. Plus, it prevents the grass from burning.

You also have the option to opt for a solid 3mm thick stainless grill to transform your fire pit into a BBQ.

Dimensions: H19 x W28 x D28cm when slotted together. (Approx 4.5kg excluding grill.)

Safety: Make sure that the fire pit is placed on a sturdy, flat, and non-flammable surface. Do not touch the fire pit during use or for an hour after the fire has thoroughly gone out. Wait until all heat has left the fire pit before disassembling it.

Cleaning: After use, coat the steel with a thick layer of oil to reduce rusting. A scouring pad can be used to remove surface patina and soot.

2. Custom Vinyl Record Label Print

Make the lyrics of your Dad’s favourite song tangible with this unique Father’s Day gift.

This Etsy shop incorporates a whole set of song lyrics into a vinyl record, plus personalised vinyl record ‘label’ in the middle to give it an authentic look.

You will need to share your preferred colour for the label, as well as the artist and song that will feature on the vinyl. Then, for the label, the following details for the recipient are required:

• Name/s

• Date (for release date)

• Occasion or event

If you like, a longer message can also be added underneath the record.

Dimensions: 25x25x3.5cm or 32x32x3.5cm

Note: The product is an A4 Print only, and it does NOT come with a frame.

3. ‘All About My Grandad’ / ‘I Love You’ Printable

Celebrate a special grandad with this heartfelt (and potentially humorous) present this Father’s Day. It offers a unique opportunity for children to express their love and appreciation, while making for the perfect keepsake.

Some prompts listed include: ‘He is really good at…’, ‘He always tells me…’, ‘He taught me how to…’, and much more.

In addition to the printable, you will receive an additional printable card for your child to complete, allowing them to draw a picture or write a special message.

This Etsy shop offers many more templates for other occasions throughout the year, which I recommend checking out.

Note: This product is available as a digital download only, meaning no physical item will be shipped. You can choose to print with or without a border.

4. Engraved Coffee and Treats Board

What’s a better way to encourage a coffee break with the father figure in your life?

Made from natural wood, this engraved coffee/tea and treat board is available as a solo item or a set of two for Dad and his mini-me.

There’s a sizable round indent to balance any hot drink, and you can personalise the boards, for example, ‘Dad’s coffee and biscuits’ and ‘Craig’s tea and treats’. This is a charming and novelty gift that will bring a smile to your face every time it comes out.

5. Gold Bracelet

Celebrate the bond between a father and his children with this beautiful family bracelet.

Handcrafted from gold-plated stainless steel, this piece of jewelry is built to last and can be personalised with the kids’ names on individual beads. You can add up to 12 beads (names) onto the bracelet.

Perfect for everyday use, this minimalist bracelet is available in silver, gold, or black and is both waterproof and sweatproof.

This present is guaranteed to make this year’s Father’s Day the most memorable yet.

6. ‘Dad of Girls #Outnumbered’ Novelty Shirt

Do you know a proud #GirlDad?

Made from 100% cotton (sport grey is 90% cotton, 10% polyester), this soft-style crew neck shirt with short sleeves is the perfect comical Father’s Day present.

The text ‘Dad of Girls #Outnumbered’ is applied using garment vinyl. To ensure the shirt lasts, avoid tumble drying or ironing directly on the print.

There’s a wide range of sizes available:

  • S – 34/36″
  • M – 38″
  • L – 40/42″
  • XL – 44/46″
  • 2XL – 48″/50″
  • 3XL – 52″

Note: Although the shirt is advertised for Father’s Day, RedLeaderUK notes in the description that it is appropriate for unisex wear.

7. Engraved Charging Station

This model charging station is perfect for decorating any bedside table or work desk, suitable for both phones and smartwatches.

It is made from eco-friendly bamboo and laser-engraved with ‘Best Dad Ever’; however, other options are available, such as ‘Best Daddy/Papa/Grandad Ever’. Then, underneath the text, you can add a message to make the present more special.

This product does not come with the charging cables, so you will have to put the wires through the space provided (this is demonstrated through the product images on the Etsy page).

Additionally, to ensure it remains stationary at all times, the bottom features soft, non-slip feet.

Dimensions: 14x6x5.5cm

8. Luxury Whiskey Decanter Gift Set

If your Dad appreciates a stiff drink, all the better to upgrade his glassware with this luxurious and elegant personalised whiskey decanter gift set. It also comes complete with premium whiskey glasses, stones, and coasters.

There are a number of ways to customise the order to your Father’s liking, for example;

  • A selection of high-quality European engraved glass styles, e.g. round, square, faceted, or round shot glasses, as well as any date and monogram (if desired).
  • Personalised coasters.
  • A wooden box to protect and store the set, which can also be customised with your dad’s name.

These beautiful glasses are a treat to drink from and are suitable for all occasions. You will not find anything more perfect for whiskey enthusiasts than this decanter gift set.

Be sure to take a good look at the other options available, as the shop is packed with lots of great finds.

Money Saving Tips: Christmas on a Budget

With the increased cost of living, many people are left wondering how they are going to cope with this festive season. Fortunately, there are a few ways to keep the cost down without having to sacrifice the Christmas spirit.

Here are my top 12 money-saving tips for living a happier and stress-free Christmas.

Money Saving Hacks for Christmas Gifts

Keep reading if you are looking for new ways to budget for Christmas gifts

1. Do ‘family gifts’ or a Secret Santa

Christmas can easily drain your wallet if you’ve got a big family or friendship group to consider for gift-giving. Suggesting a Secret Santa with a spending limit is a great way to keep costs down, and it allows you to focus on shopping for one person. Alternatively, you can buy something that can be enjoyed by the whole family, such as a board game, food and beverage hamper, or gift experience.

2. Buy second hand

No one looks down at secondhand items as long as there has been some thought put into it. Purchasing second-hand is more sustainable, and you can find some treasures. Online sites to obtain such pieces include Vinted, Facebook Marketplace, Depop, and eBay for Charity. The latter is partnered with several second-hand charity shops like the British Heart Foundation and Cancer Research.

3. Combine your online orders

Many stores provide shipping free of charge when customers spend a certain amount. To avoid hefty delivery charges, look at presents for your loved ones from the same online store. Otherwise, check if the website offers free delivery to their physical stores if the threshold is too high for home delivery.

Top Tip: Look for further discounts such as 2 For 1, 20% off, buy one get one half-price to make your money last longer etc.

4. Dedicate one day to Christmas shopping

Another major cause of overspending on Christmas is leaving everything until the last minute. Therefore, try and find a whole day to set aside to get all the gifts you need. Alternatively, you can use this day to craft or get started on any DIY presents.

5. Say ‘No’ to random gift exchanges

Don’t feel obliged to succumb to social pressure if it is detrimental to your budget. It is acceptable to turn down invitations to random gift exchanges at your work or social groups. Nonetheless, continue to be kind and show appreciation when saying “no”.

6. Plan your food shopping

Instead of buying your Christmas dinner last minute, start thinking of your food shopping early on. That way, you can stock up on the essentials whenever you see them on offer. In addition, it will reduce the need to pay for all your Christmas food in one go, making spending more manageable.

7. Don’t over-buy on groceries

It is tempting to gather masses of food and drink during the holidays “just in case” someone might fancy it at some point. Many of us will be hosting family and friends, therefore, we feel compelled to load up on snacks such as mince pies and cakes which can be difficult to finish, especially after eating Christmas dinner. Try to avoid being lured into adding more things to your shopping cart which is likely to go to waste.

8. Swap the turkey

There is no written rule that turkey is a must-have to feature on the menu. As it is an expensive item, why not select a cheaper alternative to carve this Christmas? For example, a whole chicken or pork shoulder is a more affordable and crowd-pleasing option. Alongside the several side dishes, you can still have a delicious dinner.

9. Spend less on traditions

Save money this Christmas by cutting down on the extras, such as sending out Christmas cards, purchasing expensive new ornaments, etc. Instead, create personal and less costly traditions that can be enjoyed by the whole family.

Top Tip: Most towns and villages host a free holiday festival where you can enjoy family-friendly games, drink mulled wine, get pictures with Santa, and more, all for free or a small charity donation. Don’t forget to wrap up warm!

10. Buy an artificial Christmas tree

While real Christmas trees are stunning, their price tag is quite dear, especially when you have to buy a new one every year. An artificial tree is long-lasting and guarantees to be a perfect fit for your home. There are plenty of styles to choose from like snow-covered branches while others come pre-decorated so you do not have to pay out for baubles and glittery tinsel.

11. Check before you travel

If you’re planning to travel for Christmas, be sure to check ticket prices and journey times as demand will increase closer to the Christmas period. Try to avoid travelling at peak times for maximum comfort, and book your ticket as early as possible.

Top Tip: Bring some food and water from home while you travel to avoid another expense. Also, use a railcard for a discount on your Christmas and future tickets.

12. Use loyalty points and vouchers

Redeem loyalty points and vouchers that you’ve accumulated throughout the year. By doing so, you can reduce the final cost of your shopping and stretch your money further. Popular retailers like Sainsbury’s and Marks & Spencer have regular promotions for their customers. However, it’s still important to compare prices to ensure the loyalty discounts are worth it.

Boots UK is my favourite store for obtaining toiletries and skin products. I’ve been delighted with the quality and diversity of their recent vegan range and recommend that you check it out.
